We have a small family of
coloured miniature horses , including Pure Falabella , European and
Thoroughbred type mini horses bred for temperament and quality. We
occasionally have miniatures for sale although we are self funded and
non profit making.

We are also a stud of pedigree rex rabbits , specialising in
Chinchilla, Tricolour Dalmatian standard rex . Broken ,
Lilac ,and working on astrex mini rex.
Elmhurst stud is located at the family home on a small holding in the
Essex countryside, please visit out Falabella horse and Rex rabbit
pages . We breed to improve our lines but occasionally have quality
horses and rabbits for sale to good homes.
At Elmhurst stud we aim to sell to forever homes, although
sometimes circumstances change and we will endeavour to help you should
this happen, either by re-homing for you or advertising on this site.
We now offer holiday boarding for your Rabbits and Guinea pigs (do not
have to be bred here!) , and any Falabella bought from us. Email for
details or visit our bunny boarding website!

Meet Mini Truffle our new edition to the family in March 2008, he is a
yearling gelding only 26.5 inches tall , he is a calynche miniature
horse, even smaller than the falabella horses . Email us if you would
like more info on these lovely miniatures, he is quiet and friendly and
easy to handle a lovely pet for horse lovers without the room for a
normal sized horse, we can even pick him up and he travels happily in
the back of our car. We have bought him as a pet and he is here for
life, we would never sell him , although we are looking to purchase more
in the future as mini show horses and hope to breed. Here pictured when
we got him in March .
